Book Review
The Son of Neptune is a plot twisted, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat, action packed novel. Percy Jackson, dark haired sea green eyed son of Neptune, has amnesia. He meets Frank and Hazel at Camp Jupiter, where he is welcomed by Reyna, Octavin, and the rest of the camp. Together, Percy, Hazel, and Frank go to save death and kill monsters. Frank also learns this gift throughout the quest.
The plot was more or less a windy road. Many twists and turns throughout the story, along with surprises. The characters were memorable, and fans everywhere will want to see more of the trio. With humor and curiosity lacing through the characters thoughts, readers are urged to read on. Rick Riordan's writing style can bring tears to the reader’s eyes, make them fall off their chair laughing, or make them reread a few more times to understand the surprises. All in all, it’s amazing. The book held my interest with all the action, however, they got off topic quite a lot. That is why I rate this book 9 out of 10.
